Fragile Hope Foundation completes first pilot of Living on the Interest
Fragile Hope Foundation has completed the first pilot of Living on the Interest, a portable system and education tool developed with Joakim Odelberg, the University of Gothenburg and five students from the HUSK programme.
HUSK (Hållbar utveckling, samhällsförändring och klimatomställning) is the University of Gothenburg’s bachelor programme in sustainable development, societal change and climate transition.
The pilot brought together a mixed group of participants from academia, media, law, economics, medicine, event production and the student community. The purpose was to test the format in a real room, with real participants and real reactions.
Living on the Interest is still under development, and the full format will not be shared publicly at this stage. What can be said is that the pilot confirmed something important: the format has the potential to make complex system questions more immediate, more physical and much harder to ignore.
For Fragile Hope Foundation, this is a significant step. The ambition is to develop Living on the Interest into a portable system and education tool for universities, schools, organisations, companies and decision makers.
The response from the pilot was strong. Participants described the format as powerful, important, uncomfortable and thought provoking. The feedback will now be used to sharpen the next version and strengthen the educational material.
The work continues.
This may be the beginning of something much bigger.
