WHAT WE DO
Fragile Hope turns ocean knowledge into action. We connect science and fieldwork with storytelling and powerful experiences to protect and restore marine ecosystems. We engage the next generation and move people, communities and decision makers from understanding to action.
Science and fieldwork
We work alongside scientists and research institutions on expeditions and field projects, collecting observations, samples and data for marine research. We help carry that knowledge beyond the field, where it can inform conservation, restoration and better decisions.
Conservation and restoration
We initiate and support field projects that protect and restore marine ecosystems, from seagrass meadows and kelp forests to coral reefs, mangroves and habitats for threatened species. Working with scientists, local communities and Field Partners, we turn knowledge into practical action shaped by the needs of each place.
Documentary storytelling
We create documentary films, short films and visual stories that reveal what is happening beneath the surface, why it matters and what can be done. Across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms, we carry ocean knowledge beyond the scientific community and into public understanding, debate and decision-making.
Next Generation
We work with schools, sports clubs and youth organisations to bring young people closer to the ocean through science, field experiences and storytelling. We create opportunities to learn, participate and see how knowledge can become action.
Experiences
We create concerts, exhibitions, lectures and immersive experiences that make ocean knowledge felt as well as understood. By bringing science together with music, art and visual storytelling, we reach new audiences and turn attention into understanding, engagement and action.
Partnerships for action
We build long-term partnerships with scientists, universities, communities, public institutions, organisations and responsible businesses. By bringing together knowledge, experience, resources and influence, we strengthen field projects, expand their reach and turn shared ambition into lasting ocean action.
